Effective new treatment found for sleep apnea
A phase 3 trial found that the experimental pill AD109 reduced breathing interruptions in people with obstructive sleep apnea by about 44%, compared with 18% in the placebo group. It also improved oxygen levels and reduced disease severity, offering a promising option for patients who cannot tolerate standard CPAP therapy.
